West Bengal State University
West Bengal State University is a newly established university situated in Barasat, West Bengal, India. The Vice Chancelor of West Bengal State University is eminent educationist Prof. Asok Ranjan Thakur. All the 57 colleges in the district of North 24 Parganas, which were formerly affiliated with the University of Calcutta, are affiliated to this university.
West Bengal State University has announced its results for the year 2009 of the undergraduate courses for B.Com and B.Sc courses. Around 57 colleges of West Bengal are affiliated with the West Bengal State University. All the colleges results can be accessed by the University website.
The main building of the University, which will be a G+7 structure, has been started. The piling work of that building is going to be completed within September, 2009. A Ladies Hostel has also been started, which will be completed within this year.
