WBUHS
The West Bengal University of Health Sciences has been set up by an Act of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly in the year 2003 for better management of the health and medical education related courses which were so far taught separately by the University of Calcutta, and the Universities of Burdwan and North Bengal WBUHS was established in the year 2003 with the objective of offering world-class teaching and training in the field of medical-sciences to the student’s fraternity in the region. All the courses have been brought under one umbrella for helping in upgrading the level of teaching in the state. The establishment of the institute has showered upon a number of benefits to the entire medical scenario in West Bengal. The University has been making continuous efforts to improve the present scenario of medical education in the state.
