Haj Committee Of India
The historyof the first formal meeting of the Haj committee was held in 1927 in Bombay, headed by the then Commissioner of Police Mr. D. Healy. Haj Committee of India is a committee in India formed under Haj Committee Act 2002, for making arrangements for the pilgrimage of Muslims of India for Haj. Mohammad Owais is the present CEO and its head office is in Mumbai. Haj is one of the five tenets of Islam. It’s every muslim’s desire to perform Haj at least once in his life time. Performing Haj is obligatory to every sane, financially able and adult muslim.
