Gorakhpur University
The Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur (Deen Dayal Upadhyay, University) was officially established in 1965 by an Act of the Uttar Pradesh legislature. It is a teaching and residential-cum-affiliating University. The University is situated at a distance of about 2 kilometers form the down town to the east and almost walking distance from railway station to the south. The University site, spread over an area of 300 acres, includes teaching and residential campuses.
