Dera Sacha Sauda

Dera Sacha Sauda

The Dera Sacha Sauda was set-up by Shah Mastana from Baluchistan in 1948, as a center for spiritual learning, based upon liberal theology that was in disagreement with established orthodox religions and philosophies. Shah Mastana was succeeded by Shah Satnam Singh, who was followed in 1992 by Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. Dera Sacha Sauda is a non-profit spiritual organization based in Sirsa, Haryana, India. Sacha Sauda is that spiritual activity by which God is worshipped under the guidance of the Satguru. This path of God realization has been coming down ages since the earliest times. The meaning of Sacha Sauda is to truly meditate the name of the Allah, Ram, God (various names given to that soul power by various religions) without interfering in anyones religion or caste. The organization and its head, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, are also under investigation for the murder of a journalist, Ram Chandra Chatrapati, and for sexual exploitation of women followers.
